In 2023, Atlas Concorde has received Ecovadis Silver rating recognizing the effort to ESG areas: environment, labour & human rights, business ethics & sustainable procurement. This achievement positions the company among the TOP 25% across all the companies & all the industries assessed worldwide by Ecovadis.

Our initiatives
Circularity

100% reused of production product scrap
Total recovery of cooked and raw product waste.

90% of waste diverted from disposal
90% of waste is recovered or issued into the recycling cycle.

100% reused water
Total recovery of process water.

Packaging
The packaging of Atlas Concorde products is 100% recyclable & composed of 80% recycled cardboard & plastic.
Reduction & Self-Production of Energy

Heat recovery
Heat recoveries from industrial furnaces on production processes.

100% LED lighting
The plants are 100 per cent illuminated by more efficient and high-performance LED systems.

Etekina project
Etekina is an EU founded R&D project to recover process waste heat steam by the installation of an heat exchanger prototype to improve plant heat management.
Renewable energy
The production plant in Finale Emilia is equipped with a photovoltaic system with an area of 35,000 square meters and with more than 4 MWh produced annually.

Cogeneration plant
100% electrical self-sufficiency due to cogeneration plant.
Enviroment, Health & Safety

Automated vertical warehouse
The installation of the Automated vertical warehouse in Atlas Concorde’s logistics system has led to a reduction in CO2 emissions and plastic consumption.

Complete air filtration
Atlas Concorde is provided with advanced purification systems to contain its atmospheric emissions.Thanks to the RTO (Regenerative thermal oxidizers) system, Atlas Concorde also abates odors that could harm the quality of life in the surrounding areas.

Absence of dangerous substances
All Atlas Concorde products don't contain lead, cadmium, heavy metals or other carcinogens such as asbestos, and in their use they do not release VOCs (Volatile Organic Substances).

ECOVADIS

ISO 9001
ISO 9001 is a voluntary international certification that establishes criteria for a quality management system that focuses on the effectiveness of quality processes.

ISO 45001
ISO 45001 is a voluntary international occupational health and safety standard that establishes requirements for building a sound management system.

ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is the most recognized voluntary international standard for environmental management systems. It provides a framework through which an organization can deliver improved environmental performance in line with its environmental policy commitments.
Product certifications

ISO 17889-1
ISO 17889-1 defines the international system for assessing ESG of ceramic tiles throughout their life cycle, using qualitative and quantitative indicators related to product design, production, installation and use. Atlas Concorde final mark is 126 out of 130.

GREENGUARD Gold
With UL GREENGUARD Gold Certification, Atlas Concorde attests to the compliance of its ceramic surfaces with standards on indoor volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. Originating in the United States, the certification is recognized by numerous building programs internationally such as LEED and BREEAM, as UL GREENGUARD Gold Certified Products help make indoor air cleaner and healthier.
Product declarations

EPD
EPD (enivronmental product declaration), is a standardized tool used to assess environmental performance of building products describing the impact associated with the production of a specific quantity of product. Epd declaration is voluntary and based on a LCA (Life cycle assessment). It can be used to meet the requirement of green building standards (Leed,Well, Breeam etc.).

FDES
The FDES (Fiche Déclaration Environnementale et Sanitaire) is a declaration combining environmental and sanitary performances of a construction for French market. It can be used to meet the requirement of green building standards (Leed,Well, Breeam etc.).

PEF
Similarly to EPD, the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) is the new declaration based on the harmonized LCA calculation method defined by the European Commission within the European Green Deal. It can be used to meet the requirement of green building standards (Leed,Well, Breeam etc.).

DECLARE
Declare is a nutrition label created by the International Livig Future Institute (ILFI) for construction products. It disclose all intentionally-added ingredients and residuals at or above 100ppm (0.01%) present in the final product by weight. It can be used to meet the requirement of green building standards (Leed,Well, Breeam etc.).

LEED
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the leading building sustainability rating, originated in the U.S. by the GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL. All Atlas Concorde porcelain has certification of conformity with requirements of Leed V4.1.

WELL
WELL Building standard is a leading building sustainability rating by the american International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). All Atlas Concorde porcelain has certification of conformity with requirements of THE WELL BUILDING STANDARD ® V2

Concorde Park
The Concorde Group's company park is unique in the ceramic district for its vastness, beauty and hospitality. Spread over more than four hectares, it offers prestige and health not only to the company's customers and employees, but also to the entire surrounding community.

Concorde Nursery
This educational facility is open to the children of employees and the local area and is managed directly by qualified staff of the Concorde Group. It hosts children from 1 to 5 years operating as a nursery, pre-school and 06 experimental school with a continuous growth program based on the Montessori Method and the involvement of the family in educational activities.
